Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care using the nursing process in an acute rehab setting, including administration of medications, nursing interventions, and patient/family teaching. Works with supervising RN or Shift Manager to ensure patient needs are met, documents care activities to support quality measures, and communicates with physicians and care team to improve outcomes. Emphasizes infection prevention, safe patient handling, and adherence to hospital policy. Requires Missouri LPN license or compact licensure, BLS, and completion of an accredited practical nursing program; one year experience preferred. Demonstrates critical thinking and ongoing professional development through continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical school of nursing required
- Current LPN license in the State of Missouri or Compact Licensure
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- One year experience preferred
