Job Summary
Contribute to admission and daily bio/psycho/social assessments while collecting, reporting, and recording objective and subjective data accurately. Observe patient conditions, document changes in a timely and legible manner, and validate classification indicators. Participate in establishing nursing diagnoses, individualized plans of care, and updating interventions based on current patient status. Provide care for stable, predictable, or critical patients under RN or MD supervision, communicating patient responses and progress during verbal reports. Collaborate with RNs, C.N.A.s, and physicians to establish care priorities and modify plans as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current applicable state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers
- The ability to think critically
- The ability to problem solve
- The ability to maintain compassion for this complex patient population
- Excellent communication with teammates and patients
