Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) units with moderate to high patient acuity using the nursing process. Prioritize patient wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence-based practice within a multidisciplinary team approach. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and guide individualized specialty education for competency validation. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Requires state licensure as an LPN or LVN, current BLS or CPR certification, and graduation from an accredited nursing program. Full-time onsite role with 80 hours per pay period.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing program
- State licensure as a Practical Nurse (LPN) or Vocational Nurse (LVN)
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
