Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for orthopedic, stroke, and neurological patients under RN supervision. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while coordinating care with educators, respiratory therapists, and case managers. Uphold patient rights and confidentiality of information throughout the shift. Obtain and maintain a current LPN license within the hiring state and complete required certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and BLS. Perform duties requiring lifting 50 lbs, prolonged standing, and repetitive physical movements including bending and squatting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- PEARS certification
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Six Assessment & Care Modules certification
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification (previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri)
