Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed provider or Registered Professional Nurse. Maintain professional accountability for patient care while coordinating efforts with other departments. Uphold patient rights and confidentiality of information. Work on a 24-bed Ortho-Neuro unit treating orthopedic, stroke, and neurological conditions alongside educators, respiratory therapists, and therapists. Obtain and maintain a current LPN license within the hiring state.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- PEARS certification
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Six Assessment & Care Modules certification
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification (previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri)
