Job Summary
Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed provider or Registered Professional Nurse using the nursing process. Coordinate care across departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. Work on a 24-bed Ortho-Neuro unit serving orthopedic, stroke, and neurological patients alongside educators, respiratory therapists, and therapists. Obtain and maintain a current LPN license within the hiring state. Complete required certifications including ACLS, PALS, BLS, and LPN-IV within specified timeframes. Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform prolonged standing, walking, and physical movements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- PEARS certification
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri
Desired Qualifications
- Comparable education experience
- Successful licensure (outside of the current state requirement context)
- NIH Stroke Certification
