LPN 3 Cardiac Surgical - Full Time

Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision for pre- and post-operative cardiac surgery patients, cardiac dysrhythmias, vascular surgery cases, and medical overflow on a 24-bed unit. Utilize the nursing process to maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while coordinating care with educators, case managers, respiratory therapists, and other support staff. Obtain and maintain a current LPN license within the hiring state and complete required certifications including ACLS, PALS, and BLS within specified timeframes. Perform duties requiring prolonged standing, lifting 50 lbs, and repetitive physical movements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- PEARS certification
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Six Assessment & Care Modules certification
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification (previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri)
