LPN 3 - Cardiac Surgery - Full Time

Job Summary
Provide direct patient care for pre and post-operative cardiac surgery patients, cardiac dysrhythmias, vascular surgery patients, and general medical overflow on a 24-bed unit. Collaborate with educators, PCA/PCTs, case managers, respiratory therapists, dieticians, and PT/OT to support the cardiac and vascular population. Maintain current LPN licensure and obtain required certifications including ACLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., BLS, and LPN-IV within specified timeframes. Perform duties requiring lifting 50 lbs, prolonged standing, and repetitive physical movements. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri
