Job Summary
Provide pre and post-operative cardiac surgery care, manage cardiac dysrhythmias with IV drips, and handle vascular surgery patients and medical overflow on a 24-bed unit. Maintain current LPN licensure and obtain ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications within required timeframes. Perform duties involving lifting 50 lbs, prolonged standing, and specific physical movements to support the multidisciplinary team of educators, respiratory therapists, and case managers.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- PEARS certification
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri
