Job Summary
Monitor patient vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration while recording medical history, symptoms, and medications. Administer injections, medications, and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and change dressings, bandages, and catheters. Collect samples for laboratory tests and educate patients and families on health conditions and preventive measures. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or physician. Maintain patient records and confidentiality. Work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians in nursing homes. Requires a valid LPN license, high school diploma, and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- A valid LPN license in the state of employment
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A CPR certification
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
