Job Summary
Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) role supporting BioLife Plasma Services donors at the Kansas City plasma center. Responsibilities include determining donor eligibility and acceptance requirements, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and communicating test results to donors. Will evaluate donor reactions, follow SOPs for medical emergencies, refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues, support vaccination programs for employees, and ensure donor safety and compliance with environmental, health and safety policies. Requires LPN/LVN licensure, CPR/AED, IV therapy basics, FDA training, and two years of clinical experience; location is Kansas City, MO. Compensation includes an hourly wage range of approximately $24.32–$33.44, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
- Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
