Job Summary
The LPN provides direct nursing care to residents and supervises day-to-day nursing care delivered by nursing assistants, ensuring care aligns with regulatory standards. Responsibilities include directing daily functions of staff, participating in quality assessment and assurance, documenting Medicare services, administering medications and treatments, assisting with resident assessments and the development/implementation of care and discharge plans, ensuring Residents' Rights, and communicating with the nursing team and supervisors. Requires PA LPN licensure, ability to work with others, basic computer skills, and physical capability to perform duties (lifting/pushing/pulling)."
Required Qualifications
- Current, active license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Pennsylvania
- Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
- Ability/willingness to learn basic computer skills
- Ability to summarize and relate information concerning a resident's condition
- Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday
- Medical and physical examination as per facility policy
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds to 3 feet and carry weight 25 feet
- Ability to push/pull/move weight in excess of 100 pounds with mechanical device
- Ability to relate to and work with persons with emotional instability or hostility
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
