Job Summary
Conduct trauma-informed, culturally competent mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults through individual and group therapies including CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing. Perform clinical intake assessments, screen for substance use disorders, and facilitate referrals to external services like rehab or housing support. Monitor patient symptoms, generate treatment plans, and track outcomes using a registry to identify high-risk needs. Collaborate with psychiatrists, care coordinators, and primary care providers on weekly consultations for high-need patients. Document progress in electronic medical records, complete billing, and manage step-down care or discharge summaries. Requires active LCSW, LPC, or LCP certification with two years of community health experience, plus Child Abuse and FBI clearance. One evening shift is required.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an approved Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or Clinical Psychology program
- Currently an actively certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist
- Successful passing of Child Abuse and FBI Clearance
- Minimum of two years of clinical social work or clinical psychology experience in a community health care environment
- Knowledge of principles, theories, values, and ethics of Mental Health treatment practices, including SBIRT, motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based methodologies
- Must be committed to providing high quality care to underserved and diverse populations
- Must be LGBTQI+ knowledgeable of affirming care
- At least 1 day of evening hours is required
- Significant knowledge of the impact of how medical ailments affect mental health, and vice versa
