Job Summary
Provide consultation, guidance, and leadership to patients and staff in emergency departments and inpatient settings. Assist in diagnosis, risk assessments, and placement of patients while ensuring adequate discharge plans. Support psychiatrists and advanced practice nurses within the medical model, maintain regulatory knowledge of TJC, Medicare, Medicaid, and State of Georgia expectations, and assume leadership roles during crises. Participate in quality improvement by collecting data and monitor programmatic issues. Deliver in-services and workshops to non-behavioral health staff. Complete clinical documentation to meet standards of care. Work Mon-Fri, 12p-8:30p.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited program in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related mental health discipline with an emphasis on clinical experience
- Three years experience past Master's in the mental health field
- Licensed as a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LMFT (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist), or LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
- CPR certified
Desired Qualifications
- Prior clinical experience providing outpatient mental health or inpatient psychiatric services
