Job Summary
Conduct one-on-one and group tutoring sessions for students with learning differences, utilizing specialized training such as the Orton Gillingham approach. Arrive at school prepared for sessions before the starting time, engage fully with students, and provide assessments in reading, spelling, math, and written expression. Continually assess student progress by setting goals, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and review educational testing reports to utilize appropriate strategies. Communicate with classroom teachers and outside professionals regarding student progress and concerns, post tutoring notes on Veracross for parents, and send updated goals every other month. Maintain ongoing communication and goal setting with teachers while demonstrating knowledge of students with learning differences through continued professional development.
