Lower School Homeroom - Third grade

Lower School 1st Grade Teacher to cover a family leave from August 2026 through December 2026. The role involves teaching a contained classroom of about 20 students in Language Arts, Social Studies, Science and Math, differentiating instruction to meet students where they are, and creating a safe, engaging learning environment. Responsibilities include fostering relationships with students, parents, and the professional community; delivering a student-centered curriculum with opportunities for real-world problem solving; planning field trips; supporting students’ social-emotional development; and participating in lower-school duties, events, and meetings. Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree, minimum 3 years of primary elementary teaching experience, and a strong background in equity and inclusion education and ecological literacy. Additional duties include collaboration with LS Head and other faculty, and active participation in the school and community.
