Lower School Cub Care Assistant

Job Summary
Supervise PreK through fourth-grade students during after-school hours from 3 to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, or select days as needed. Facilitate daily activities on the playground and in classrooms while interacting with students and aiding in homework completion for grades one through four. Communicate needs or concerns to the Cub Care Director and maintain an atmosphere of care and safety by exhibiting proper authority. Adhere to school bylaws, policies, procedures, and governing laws. This role supports the school's diversity vision and requires a commitment to Christian values, including active church involvement and modeling a daily walk with Jesus Christ.
Required Qualifications
- Commit to living his/her life under the lordship of Christ
- Model a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ, and be a Christian role model in speech, actions, and attitudes, which contributes to the spiritual atmosphere of the school
- Believe and affirm the school's Statement of Faith

- Demonstrate evidence of consistent spiritual activities such as worship at a local church, fellowship with the body of Christ, personal devotional time with the Lord, and individual study of scripture
- Evidence the fruit of the Spirit in the nurturing of relationships with other staff members, students, families, and the community at large
- Be actively involved in a local church
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds often, up to 25 pounds intermittently, and up to 50 pounds rarely
- Must be able to carry up to 10 pounds often, up to 25 pounds intermittently, and up to 50 pounds rarely
- Must be able to crawl rarely
- Must be able to sit, kneeling, and crouching regularly
- Must be able to push/pulling, reaching, walking, standing, bending, and stooping often
- Must be able to talk, hear, stand, sit, and/or walk for extended periods of time
- Must possess normal manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in any capacity
