Lower and Middle School Substitute

Job Summary
Conduct substitute teaching for Lower and Middle School grades across all disciplines, managing classroom environments with school-age students as called on in advance or on the day. Demonstrate flexibility and comfort working with various age levels while utilizing Zoom and Google Workspace platforms. Maintain commitment to Quaker values, social justice, and anti-racism, and successfully complete state-mandated clearances including PA State Criminal Background Check, FBI Fingerprint Check, and PA Child Abuse Clearance. Willingness to complete various online training as required by the school. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related educational field with intermittent or prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working directly with school-age students and managing a classroom environment
- Comfort working on Zoom and Google Workspace platforms
- Commitment to Quaker values, social justice, and anti-racism
- Successful completion of state requirements, including but not limited to the following clearances: PA State Criminal Background Check, FBI Fingerprint Check, and PA Child Abuse Clearance
- Willingness to complete various online training, as required by the school
- A bachelor's degree in a related educational field
Desired Qualifications
- Some prior teaching experience
- An advanced degree
- Previous secondary education teaching experience
