Lowbed Driver

Job Summary
Perform pre and post trips on lowbed tractor daily, drive lowbed truck to destination, and load heavy equipment onto trailer. Unload equipment at assigned job sites, maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations, and keep telephone or radio contact with dispatchers for pickup and delivery instructions. Inspect truck equipment and supplies including tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Position blocks and secure equipment during transit in accordance with federal guidelines. Maintain clean driving record and hold Class A CDL with one year of experience driving lowbed trucks over three tons. Work in outside weather conditions with vibration and loud noise.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
- CDL A
- Clean driving record
- 1 year of experience driving a lowbed truck with capacity of more than 3 tons to transport oversize and heavy equipment to and from specified destinations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- Pre-employment drug testing
- Pre-employment Physical
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years of experience driving a lowbed truck with capacity of more than 3 tons to transport oversize and heavy equipment to and from specified destinations
- TWIC
- OSHA or other relevant safety training
