Job Summary
Low Voltage Technician needed to install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage systems across multiple dealership locations in Arkansas. Responsibilities include installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and fiber optics; installing and supporting surveillance camera systems, access control, intercoms, and related low voltage equipment; mounting network racks, patch panels, switches, and wireless access points; routing cables through ceilings, walls, conduits, and other paths; troubleshooting connectivity and hardware issues; reading blueprints and wiring diagrams; assisting with network equipment deployments and basic network troubleshooting; maintaining documentation of installations, service work, and inventory; ensuring safety standards and company procedures; traveling to dealership locations as needed; and performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of low voltage installation or field technician experience required
- Experience with structured cabling, CCTV systems, access control, and network hardware
- Familiarity with Ubiquiti, Cisco, Verkada, Avigilon, or similar systems is a plus
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including switches, VLANs, IP addressing, and wireless systems preferred
- Ability to use cable testers, toner tools, punch-down tools, and other installation equipment
- Ability to safely use ladders, lifts, and power tools
- Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required
