Job Summary
Install, terminate, and configure low voltage cabling for networks, audio, video, CCTV, security, and control systems on active high-end residential and commercial job sites. Work with installation teams and project leads to complete rough-in through final setup, reading plans and wiring diagrams to ensure accuracy. Troubleshoot system issues related to connectivity, hardware, and performance while testing completed work to verify proper operation. Maintain clean work areas, follow safety practices and applicable codes, and communicate progress and material needs to supervisors. Use hand tools, testers, and crimpers to assemble equipment racks, cameras, speakers, and access points.
Required Qualifications
- Experience installing and terminating low voltage cabling
- Basic understanding of network, audio, video, CCTV, security, and control systems
- Ability to troubleshoot wiring, device, and system issues
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, testers, tone generators, crimpers, and termination tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to follow instructions, drawings, and job-site direction
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment
- Ability to work on ladders, in attics, crawlspaces, ceilings, and construction environments
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical work for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Experience with structured cabling, AV systems, camera systems, alarm/security systems, access control, or automation/control systems
- Experience with network setup, device configuration, or basic IP troubleshooting
- Experience working on high end residential and light commercial job sites
