Job Summary
Low Voltage Systems Service Technician with 3-5 years of field electronic experience responsible for installation, servicing, and troubleshooting of fire, security, card access, door entry, paging/sound, and other life-safety systems. Role includes wiring installation, panel programming, paperwork, on-call rotations, inventory control, customer communication, and collaboration with ARK team to meet standards and project plans. Requires NFPA alarm knowledge, ability to interpret code books, customer-relations skills, and licenses in MD/VA security technician. AA degree in Electronics or equivalent plus industry certifications and a valid driving record. Proficiency with typical tools and software; favorable communication and teamwork are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of NFPA alarm system requirements and ability to interpret code books and handbooks
- Customer relations experience and skills
- Ability to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician license
- Field electronic practical experience
- Good communication skills
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude and good working relationships with management and employees
- Must maintain a good driving record (insurable through our insurance carrier) for driving to/from job sites
- Willingness to achieve various industry certifications
- AA degree in Electronics or equivalent technical school training with 3-5 years of related industry experience
- Basic computer literacy and system-specific training
- Industry licenses and certifications required
