Low Voltage Security Technician

Job Summary
Install, service, and maintain low voltage security systems including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection in commercial environments. Run, terminate, and test low voltage cabling such as Cat5/6 and fiber while mounting and configuring cameras, readers, panels, and sensors. Troubleshoot system issues, perform repairs, and read blueprints and wiring diagrams to ensure installations meet quality and safety standards. Provide basic training or support to end users when needed. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites required. Experience with Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, or Honeywell systems is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with low voltage or security systems preferred
- Basic knowledge of wiring, networking, and electronic systems
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with systems such as Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, Honeywell, etc.
- Industry certifications (NICET, ESA, manufacturer certs)
- Experience in commercial construction or service environments
