Job Summary
Lead residential AV installation projects and on-site technician teams, installing, terminating, labeling, and testing low-voltage cabling including Cat6, fiber, coax, speaker wire, and control wiring. Build and wire AV racks with organized cable management while configuring home theater systems, whole-home audio/video distribution, smart home automation, security cameras, lighting control, and networking. Read blueprints and wiring diagrams to coordinate with builders, project managers, and homeowners, then perform system commissioning, final client walkthroughs, and train junior technicians. Maintain professional jobsite standards and safety compliance throughout luxury custom home projects.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in residential AV installation or smart home integration
- Strong knowledge of structured wiring and low-voltage systems
- Experience building and dressing AV racks
- Ability to lead jobsite work and manage small crews
- Hands-on experience with AV and automation systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and system layouts
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or in construction environments
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
