Low Voltage Integration and Security Technician

Job Summary

Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber cabling systems while implementing, activating, and supporting CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems. Read project drawings and specifications to develop implementation plans, utilizing Excel and Outlook to document progress and update as-built drawings. Use power tools and measuring devices to maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with national and local codes. Obtain OSHA 30 certification and attend safety meetings. Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 Years of field experience performing Low Voltage and/or Security systems
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to move/lift heavy objects
  • Must be able to climb vertical ladders
  • Must be able to work at heights
  • Must be proficient in the use of common hand and power tools
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Must regularly commute to field locations and various job sites
  • Must have the ability to navigate around job site locations
  • Must regularly work outdoors
  • Must be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions
  • Must be exposed to moving mechanical and electrical parts
  • Must be exposed to high, precarious places
  • Must be exposed to dust, fumes or airborne particles
  • Must be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals
  • Must be exposed to outside weather conditions
  • Must be exposed to cold and heat
  • Must be at risk of electrical shock
  • Must be exposed to vibration
  • Must regularly walk
  • Must use fingers and hands to handle or feel
  • Must reach with hands and arms
  • Must climb or balance
  • Must stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must talk or hear and taste or smell
  • Must frequently stand
  • Must occasionally sit
  • Must regularly work in moderate to loud noise levels
  • Must be able to perform extended hours or weekend overtime
  • Must obtain OSHA 30 Safety and Health standards certification
  • Must maintain and require safety requirements
  • Must support safety efforts of the organization
  • Must demonstrate safety competency
  • Must attend/hold Tool Box safety meetings
  • Must ensure national and local codes and industry standards are maintained
  • Must provide updates to as-built drawings
  • Must read project drawings, specifications, submittals and develop project implementation plans
  • Must utilize Excel, Word, Outlook, and associated business applications to communicate/document project
  • Must install, terminate, test copper and fiber cabling systems
  • Must implement, activate, and support CCTV, Access Control, Video Management, and intrusion systems
  • Must use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, test equipment
