Job Summary
Low Voltage Electrician responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing low-voltage electrical systems, including HVAC and building automation systems (BMS/EPMS) in commercial/industrial data-center environments. Duties include installing/terminating/testing low-voltage cabling (Cat 5/6, coax, fiber), mounting/ wiring control panels, sensors, actuators, and network devices; reading blueprints and schematics; conduit bending and cable routing; system diagnostics and commissioning (device calibration, point-to-point testing, functional verification); documenting installation progress and configurations; and collaborating with project managers, contractors, and clients while adhering to OSHA/NEC safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Low Voltage Electrical Apprenticeship or comparable experience
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Proficiency in the use of electrical test equipment and diagnostic tools
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in active construction environments
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication skills
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, for safety, coordination, and documentation purposes
- Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and company policies
