Low Voltage / Access Control Technician

Job Summary
Execute all Level I installer roles, including configuring, programming devices, and overseeing system commissioning for nurse call, card access, and video surveillance projects. Lead installation teams by delegating tasks, mentoring Level 1 installers, and maintaining high standards while managing project and service tickets. Perform Factory Authorized Testing (FAT) before installation and establish communication channels with Project Delivery Coordinators and customers. Demonstrate proficiency in low voltage cabling, IT networking, and reading architectural drawings. Requires 2+ years in construction trades, 1+ year with fire/CCTV/intrusion systems, and valid US Driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years with a previous construction trade
- Advance knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage)
- Hands-on/field experience from previous work experience
- Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, general networking, computers, VoIP, etc.)
- Ability to identify and use common low voltage cabling
- Possesses and maintains a working knowledge of basic IT networking, configurations and IP addressing
- Ability to read architectural drawings
- Team management/supervisor experience
- Previous experience completing projects within scope
- Previous experience with service ticketing processes
- Required 1+ year of previous knowledge in fire, CCTV, intrusion, emergency nurse call systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have valid US Driver's license
