Low Voltage / Access Control Technician

Job Summary
Execute all Level I installer roles including system configuration, commissioning, and Factory Authorized Testing for nurse call, access control, and video surveillance projects. Lead installation teams by delegating tasks, mentoring Level 1 installers, and maintaining high standards through direct feedback. Manage project and service tickets with streamlined communication to Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers. Read architectural drawings, troubleshoot low voltage and networking systems, and provide basic customer training on operational procedures. Requires 2+ years in construction trades, team management experience, and valid US Driver's license. Full-time field service role with performance-based bonus and commission opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years with a previous construction trade
- Advance knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage)
- Hands-on/field experience from previous work experience
- Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, general networking, computers, VoIP, etc.)
- Ability to identify and use common low voltage cabling
- Possesses and maintains a working knowledge of basic IT networking, configurations and IP addressing
- Ability to read architectural drawings
- Team management/supervisor experience
- Previous experience completing projects within scope
- Previous experience with service ticketing processes
- Required 1+ year of previous knowledge in fire, CCTV, intrusion, emergency nurse call systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have valid US Driver's license
