Low Voltage / Access Control Technician

Job Summary
Execute all Level I installer roles, including configuring, programming, and commissioning nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems. Lead installation teams by delegating tasks, mentoring Level 1 installers, and maintaining high standards while managing project and service tickets. Perform Factory Authorized Testing (FAT) on products and establish communication channels with Project Delivery Coordinators and customers. Read architectural drawings, troubleshoot low voltage and networking issues, and deliver basic customer training. Requires 2+ years in construction trades, low voltage expertise, and team management experience. Valid US Driver's license mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years with a previous construction trade
- Advance knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage)
- Hands-on/field experience from previous work experience
- Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, general networking, computers, VoIP, etc.)
- Ability to identify and use common low voltage cabling
- Possesses and maintains a working knowledge of basic IT networking, configurations and IP addressing
- Ability to read architectural drawings
- Team management/supervisor experience
- Previous experience completing projects within scope
- Previous experience with service ticketing processes
- Required 1+ year of previous knowledge in fire, CCTV, intrusion, emergency nurse call systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have valid US Driver's license
