Low Voltage / Access Control Technician

Job Summary
Execute all Level 1 installer roles, including configuring, programming devices, and overseeing system commissioning for nurse call, access control, and video surveillance products. Lead installation teams by delegating tasks, mentoring Level 1 installers, and maintaining high standards through Factory Authorized Testing before installation. Manage project and service tickets while establishing communication channels with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers to ensure seamless execution. Read architectural drawings and apply basic IT networking knowledge to deliver fully operational solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years with a previous construction trade
- Advance knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage)
- Hands-on/field experience from previous work experience
- Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, general networking, computers, VoIP, etc.)
- Ability to identify and use common low voltage cabling
- Possesses and maintains a working knowledge of basic IT networking, configurations and IP addressing
- Ability to read architectural drawings
- Team management/supervisor experience
- Previous experience completing projects within scope
- Previous experience with service ticketing processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have valid US Driver's license

- Any previous knowledge in fire, CCTV, intrusion, emergency nurse call systems
