Job Summary
Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and specialty drinks, while adhering to established recipes and standards. Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking drink orders, offering suggestions, and ensuring drinks are visually appealing with appropriate garnishes and glassware. Manage cash and credit card transactions accurately, maintain an organized bar area, and monitor beverage inventory to restock supplies and report shortages. Verify customer age, refuse service to underage or intoxicated individuals, and collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service. Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs.
- Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines.
- The work involves exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
- The exposure to hazards or physical risks requires following basic safety precautions and use of applicable protective equipment.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a bartender or in the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktail recipes, and beverage presentation.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and active listening skills.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
- Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations.
