Job Summary
Patrol and monitor lots to ensure only authorized vehicles are parked, issuing citations for non-paid or time-expired parkers based on preapproved guidelines. Perform facility and garage supportive functions including cashiering, flagging, lot maintenance, and cleaning signage. Operate and maintain revenue control equipment, troubleshoot parking meters, and manage lot signage by taking down, repairing, and assembling signs. Prepare reports and file paperwork regarding violations and citations while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Work Friday and Saturday evenings from 4PM to 12AM or 5PM to 1AM PT for 16–20 hours per week. Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal by shoveling, salting, and operating a snow thrower. Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, parkers, co-workers, and clients.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- A valid driver's license
- A clean driving record
- Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for the length of the shift
- Ability to operate motor vehicle
- Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment and to react with discretion under varying conditions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and appropriate relationships with the public, agencies and other employees
- Ability to be trained to operate and maintain revenue control equipment
- Ability to log information and make mathematical computations quickly and accurately
- Good written and communication skills, both in writing and verbally
