Job Summary
Train store team members on loss prevention and safety policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance from all staff. Identify, apprehend, and detain shoplifters while following company guidelines and lead associate awareness efforts. Investigate issues, educate the team on proper procedures, and focus on inventory management and shortage reduction. Inspect compliance through store visits, identify safety or loss risks, and immediately notify management to prevent accidents. Support loss prevention management with audits and inventory counts, ensuring full confidentiality at all times. Partner with leadership to strengthen LP culture and assist with special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of computer applications; including Security Software, CCTV equipment, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of federal, state and local law
- Knowledge of surveillance/security equipment and installations
- Ability to travel to stores within assigned area
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and store personnel
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to read computer terminals
- Ability to push, pull or move objects of at least 50lbs
- Ability to effectively maneuver around sales floor and stockroom
- Ability to perform repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including nights, evenings and weekends
