Job Summary
Lead the Asset Protection team by planning and deploying physical security strategies to protect company assets and reduce loss. Oversee the design, maintenance, and auditing of security systems including access control, CCTV, and alarms while conducting risk assessments to ensure compliance. Manage vendor relationships and expenditures, representing Loss Prevention in construction projects and interdepartmental meetings. Maintain confidentiality and respond to after-hours emergencies as required, traveling to company locations or industry events as needed. This full-time role in Richmond, BC requires a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, a valid Class 5 driver's license, and relevant industry certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Education in physical security, construction, or equivalent experience
- Experience managing physical security systems and loss prevention programs
- Knowledge of retail and commercial security practices and applicable regulations
- Understanding of security systems design, risk assessment, and construction processes
- Familiarity with access control, CCTV, alarms, fire systems, and key control
- Provincial security worker license
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Availability to work a flexible schedule Monday through Sunday, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in emergency situations
- Experience working with confidential and sensitive information
- Highly organized with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
