Job Summary
Loss Prevention Partner responsible for deterring theft and protecting profits within the shop. You’ll monitor shrinkage trends, investigate issues, and report on key themes; patrol the shop floor to deter theft and monitor CCTV for suspicious activity; coach and support colleagues to minimise shrinkage and follow procedures; de-escalate conflicts and, if necessary, detain or ban individuals committing offences. Night Premium (£4.25 per hour) applies for hours between 22:00–06:00; role requires 18+ and a rotating shift pattern including evenings and weekends; based at Cribbs Causeway (John Lewis & Partners) in the UK; some roles may require pre-employment vetting (DBS checks) during recruitment.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence in resolving conflict
- Great attention to detail with ability to spot trends and signs of profit loss
- Good customer service and relationship building skills
- Desirable: previous loss prevention experience or customer-facing environment (beneficial but not essential)
- DBS checks may be required for some roles during recruitment process
