Job Summary
Conduct security rounds of the hotel, including restaurants, lobbies, guest floors, and exterior areas, while monitoring life and safety systems. Respond immediately to emergency incidents, accidents, and security requests, performing investigations as needed and executing all emergency protocols. Check identification for visitors, vendors, and staff; confiscate unauthorized parcels and log lost and found items. Write workers' compensation incident reports, maintain shift logs, and submit end-of-shift reports with oral notifications. Enforce hotel policies, escort non-staff personnel, and perform locker room inspections and deliveries monitoring. Work flexible shifts including overnight, lifting 50 pounds, and operate radios and cameras. Execute all emergency protocols and respond to police officials in the building.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and speak in English
- Flexibility to work different shifts to include overnight

- Ability to execute all emergency protocols
- Ability to check all I.D's of the hotel visitors, vendors, applicants
- Ability to escort visitors, vendors, applicants to the appropriate location
- Ability to notify the department head involved for permission for non-staff personnel to enter the premises
- Ability to monitor heartists entrance, checking I.D. cards
- Ability to maintain visitor's log
- Ability to issue passes
- Ability to enforce package pass policy
- Ability to enforce heartists entrance and parking policy
- Ability to distribute heartists documents or messages as necessary
- Ability to submit end of shift report
- Ability to maintain shift log
- Ability to maintain lost and found log
- Ability to maintain laundry log
- Ability to work special events securing the areas as required by DOE
- Ability to not leave assigned station unless properly relieved as specified by the Director of Rooms, or Loss Prevention Manager
- Ability to perform all necessary clerical requirements of the Loss Prevention Department under the supervision of the Loss Prevention Supervisor

- Ability to protect hotel from admission of undesirables and others not conducting legitimate business within the premises

- Ability to monitor life and safety systems to include fire panels, cameras
- Ability to perform investigations as needed
- Ability to respond to police officials in the building, to include fire department
- Ability to respond to people's needs, accidents, incidents in a fast and efficient manner
- Ability to accurately report all incidents and actions taken in the shift
- Ability to write workers' compensation incident reports
- Ability to take appropriate actions dealing with medical situations and emergencies
- Ability to handle, log and store lost and found items
- Ability to respond to guest requests about lost and found
- Ability to respond immediately to emergency incidents and security requests as assigned
- Ability to ensure maximum guest, heartists, and hotel safety and security at all times
- Ability to be courteous, tactful, and helpful, but firm in enforcing hotel policies and procedures
- Ability to report in writing on all activities during each shift before leaving the hotel
- Ability to deliver oral reports and emergency notifications as directed by the established security procedures
- Ability to perform duties as assigned by the Director of Rooms and Loss Prevention Manager and Loss Prevention Supervisors
- Ability to respond to the directions from any Executive Committee member or Department's Managers
- Ability to create and maintain the highest standards of safety and security at all times
- Ability to be professional in attitude, appearance, and application of duties
- Ability to check heartists leaving and entering the hotel at the beginning and end of the shifts
- Ability to collect all package passes
- Ability to inspect parcels taken from the hotel
- Ability to monitor the security of the deliveries
- Ability to confiscate all unauthorized parcels
- Ability to notify the Director of Rooms and Loss Prevention Manager and the appropriate department head of the situations
- Ability to log unauthorized parcels
- Ability to patrol all locations requiring special attention as frequently as possible
- Ability to perform Security rounds of the hotel
- Ability to perform duties as assigned by the Director of Rooms, or Loss Prevention Manager
- Ability to perform all necessary clerical requirements of the Loss Prevention Department
- Ability to perform investigations as needed
