Job Summary
Oversee the security department by managing daily activities, scheduling staff for proper coverage, and enforcing policies and procedures. Develop and implement departmental standards, including disciplinary actions, while coaching team members and monitoring performance goals. Coordinate with local investigators and external emergency services regarding crimes, accidents, and safety issues, ensuring all personnel adhere to protocols. Prepare security plans for VIPs, high-profile guests, and government functions, and conduct regular training and emergency drills. Manage preventative maintenance for security equipment and ensure the Fire Command Centre is always attended. Initiate corrective actions for hazardous situations and assist with documentation for litigation or settlement.
Required Qualifications
- PLRD license with relevant employment grading
- Minimum Diploma qualification
- at least 5 years of working experience in a similar capacity, in the hotel industry
- Certified First Aid Trained with CPR & AED
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
