Loss Prevention Investigator

Job Summary
Monitor and investigate suspicious activity throughout the park, including covert surveillance, sting operations, and electronic surveillance to prevent theft. Conduct audits of locations and employees to identify procedural gaps, while collecting, reviewing, and analyzing accounting and operational data to identify loss trends. Perform employee interviews related to policy violations, document detailed incident reports, and recommend solutions to reduce financial loss and strengthen controls. Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion in all investigations while supporting asset protection and inventory control initiatives. Full availability required for days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility for seasonal hours and various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Full availability, including days, nights, weekends, and most holidays
- Ability to work opening and/or closing shifts
- Flexibility to work limited hours during spring, fall, winter seasons
- Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- Capable lifting to 25 lbs.
- Able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check (including criminal and credit history)
- High School Diploma or GED required
Desired Qualifications
- some college coursework
- Previous Loss Prevention or security experience
- Ability to work opening and/or closing shifts (up to 8-hour shifts preferred)
- Commitment to providing excellent support to guests and fellow team members
