Job Summary
Conduct visual deterrent patrols at the front of the store or within departments to prevent potential loss and dishonesty while wearing a body-worn camera. Greet customers with courtesy, respond to assistance requests by routing them to management or customer service via radio, and observe for suspicious behavior or critical incidents. Report any incidents to loss prevention or store management, perform closing safety sweeps with management, and document required incidents in AIIM Case Management. Review the Store Emergency Response Guide, adhere to all company policies, and maintain a professional stance. This role supports the District Loss Prevention Manager and Store Management, ensuring the safety of the company brand, staff, and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Sound decision making skills
- Ability to take initiative and perform well independently
- Prioritizes/organizes workload and manages time effectively
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- 0-2 years retail or security experience
- Must be able to wear a complete Company approved uniform including a Body Worn Camera
- Must be able to wear a body worn camera
- Must be able to adhere to all Company Policy and Procedure
- Must be able to document required incidents in AIIM Case Management
- Must be able to respond to customer requests for assistance by referring customers to store management or customer service via a Company issued radio
- Must be able to observe and report any suspicious behavior or critical incidents to LP or store management
- Must be able to perform a closing safety sweep of the store with a member of management
- Must be able to establish and maintain a position at the front of the store or in a department
- Must be able to greet customers appropriately, demonstrate courtesy and respect
- Must be able to act as a visual deterrent to prevent potential loss/dishonesty
- Must be able to review and understand the Store Emergency Response Guide
- Must be able to exercise sound judgment in decision-making to ensure their safety, the safety of others, and the protection of the Company brand
- Must be able to maintain a proper and professional stance in the designated area at the front of the store
- Must be able to support a positive customer shopping experience in the store
- Must be able to maintain a strong store partnership with store teams and loss prevention
