Job Summary
The Loss Mitigation Specialist will act as the Single Point of Contact for a portfolio of non-performing assets, effectively handling specialty functions such as liquidation outcomes and managing high-value customer interactions. Key responsibilities include contacting customers, negotiating loss mitigation alternatives, educating clients on available options, and ensuring compliance with guidelines. The role requires strong analytical skills to assess financial situations, recommend appropriate loss mitigation tools, and conduct light skip tracing. Candidates should have experience in GSE loss mitigation, particularly with FHLMC and FNMA, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The position demands adaptability, strong communication, and teamwork skills to meet individual and team performance goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Two to four years' related experience and/or training required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to use good judgment
- Strong consulting and advising customer communication skills via telephone and written communication
