Job Summary
Develop delinquency controls and effective collection techniques for Mortgage Loans, real estate secured loans, Consumer Loans, and Credit Cards. Process correspondence for the collections department, check for delinquent accounts and processing errors, and analyze accounts to identify appropriate next steps based on account types, amounts owed, and collateral value. Respond to phone calls regarding payment advice, follow up on delinquent loans for interest or partial payments, and maintain detailed written records of all communications and scanned documents. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including BSA, UDAAP, ECOA, FCRA, and North Carolina General Statutes, while documenting collection efforts for legal and regulatory review.
Required Qualifications
- High School degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer software, including email functions
- Proficiency in using collection systems and generating reports
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Proficiency in using office software and equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish, and English
Desired Qualifications
- minimum 0 to 1 years related/office experience
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Responsible for successfully completing required compliance training courses (BSA/Identity Theft) on an annual basis
- Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA)
- Unfair, Deceptive, and Abusive Acts and Practices (UDAAP)
