Loss Management Specialist - Mortgage Insurance

Job Summary
Conduct default reporting by ensuring new defaults and monthly updates are received from Insureds/Servicers and processed accurately. Review claims upon receipt, request documentation timely, and process payments according to Master Policy terms. Manage Real Estate Owned properties by assigning vendors, obtaining insurance, recording deeds, and coordinating sales with Legal and Finance teams. Assist with ordering Broker Price Opinions, reviewing appraisals, conducting fraud investigations, and paying invoices. Provide timely responses to inquiries from Insureds, Servicers, GSEs, and internal staff. Support IT enhancements to PASSPORT and Loss Management online systems. Work under moderate supervision to assist the Director and Vice President of Loss Management. Requires five years in Mortgage Servicing or three in Mortgage Insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five (5) years in the Mortgage Servicing Industry or three (3) years in the Mortgage Insurance Industry
- Superior customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Demonstrated analytical and creative problem solving skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact with staff of all levels with the organization
- Knowledge of the mortgage industry
