Job Summary
Deliver clear, structured summaries of complex credit risk situations for senior stakeholders, distilling what happened, why it matters, and recommended actions. Translate credit policy decisions into portfolio forecasts, assessing impacts from credit line management changes, student loan trends, and risk appetite framework shifts. Project and track actuals against forecasts, explaining variances using vintage, stochastic, and challenger orthogonal models. Synthesize key insights into executive-ready presentations while ensuring recommendations align with established policy frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience in US credit card industry
- Experience in Loss forecasting or Credit Policy strategy space
- Good communication skills
- Ability to clearly articulate forecasts, reasons for forecasts and how they tie to recent trends and macro-economic conditions
- Ability to deliver clear, structured, and concise summaries of complex situations for senior stakeholders
- Consulting-style articulation
- Strong emphasis on credit policy integration
- Ability to synthesize key insights into crisp narratives and executive-ready presentations
- Ability to translate credit policy decisions into portfolio forecasts
- Conversant with maturation, impact of policy change on loss trajectory
- Ability to project and track actuals, explaining variances against the forecast including underlying drivers of change
- Ability to work with a range of models, including vintage-driven, stochastic and challenger orthogonal models
- Strong first-line risk experience
- Focus on policy and portfolio analytics
- Ability to assess and articulate portfolio impacts arising from changes in first-line drivers
- Impact of tightening or expanding Credit Line Management programs
- Sensitivity to student loan trends
- Changes in risk appetite framework due to debt sale dynamics
- Ability to connect policy actions to portfolio outcomes
- Forecasting-adjacent work aligned with team projects
- Strong proficiency in vintage models
- Strong proficiency in roll rate models
- Strong proficiency in stochastic time series models
- US credit cards experience in credit risk
- Credit cards policy experience
- Acquisition credit policy

- Hands-on coding in Python & SQL
