Job Summary
Review delinquent account statuses and initiate collection actions via phone and correspondence. Utilize credit union software to monitor payments, skip-trace accounts, and follow established policies for repossession, foreclosure, and charge-off recommendations. Maintain accurate records and ensure call quality while complying with federal and state collection laws. Work on-site at the Rock Hill, SC back office operations center during a rotating 4-day workweek. This role supports member financial goals through efficient debt resolution and accurate record maintenance within a family-oriented culture that values work-life balance.
Required Qualifications
- Customer service, call center or collections experience
- Comfortable and efficient in answering incoming and making outbound calls regarding members' past due loans
- Punctual
- Courteous
- Ability to follow procedures with a high attention to detail
- Desire to learn
- Ability to work on-site at our back office operations center in Rock Hill, SC
- High school education
- Self-motivated
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good working knowledge of credit union collection policies and procedures
- Knowledge of state and federal laws governing collection practices
- Knowledge of NCUA rules and regulations
- Compliance with applicable statutes and regulations including BSA and the FDCPA business module
- Ability to maintain acceptable call quality as determined by the Management staff
