Job Summary
Loss Control Service Consultant – Construction oversees loss control service direction for new business and dedicated accounts in the regional office; monitors loss development and deploys loss control resources to maintain profitability and retention; coordinates internal and vendor loss control activities; determines alignment of internal/specialist service providers; performs account coordination, quality assurance, problem solving, and solutions management; acts as an underwriting and customer technical resource for key industries and products liability to inform pricing decisions; assists in pre-sale meetings with large, high-profile accounts; requires strong risk assessment and insurance knowledge, excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring skills, and a track record of handling complex accounts. Desirable but not required: advanced degree and/or professional certifications in relevant areas.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of risk assessment, commercial insurance operations or private industry risk management role
- Thorough knowledge of commercial insurance coverages & underwriting process
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Team-building, multi-tasking, problem solving and conflict resolution
- Coaching and mentoring skills
- Understanding of Product Liability exposures and controls (desirable)
- Account management experience (preferred)
- Ability to work with underwriters, brokers, and insureds
- Advanced degree and/or professional certification in CPCU, AU, ARM, CRM, CFPS, CSP, CIH, CPE (desirable)
