Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive field inspections of commercial properties to document physical characteristics, exterior measurements, hazards, and unusual conditions. Capture photographs and generate detailed reports summarizing observable risks used by underwriters to determine carrier eligibility. Organize independent work schedules to accommodate client needs while managing an aggressive workload with limited direction. Submit a resume and cover letter upon meeting qualifications; candidates must possess a valid driver's license, reliable insured transportation, and the required technical setup including a Windows PC, digital camera, and broadband connection. Background checks are required for all applicants.
Required Qualifications
- Be an energetic individual capable of completing a high volume of insurance inspections
- Be motivated, analytical, resourceful, decisive, and have good problem-solving skills
- Have solid written, composition and verbal communication skills
- Have a strong desire to succeed and work independently with limited direction & guidance
- Be self-disciplined, organized and able to manage an aggressive workload and have the ability to prioritize and schedule inspections timely and efficiently
- Reliable, insured transportation and valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- VIITA Certification
- previous experience in construction/plumbing/electrical industries, life safety/firefighting, general contracting or property management
