Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive property inspections to document physical characteristics, exterior measurements, general conditions, photographs, unusual hazards, and recommendations for insurance risk reports. Prepare detailed summaries of observable hazards used by client companies to determine carrier eligibility requirements. Operate as an independent contractor setting your own hours and schedules to accommodate client needs. Utilize a Microsoft Windows PC, digital camera, measuring wheel, and clipboard to gather data while maintaining broadband internet and reliable transportation. Submit a resume and cover letter upon meeting qualifications, noting that candidates are subject to criminal background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Be an energetic individual capable of completing a high volume of insurance inspections
- Be motivated, analytical, resourceful, decisive, and have good problem-solving skills
- Have solid written, composition and verbal communication skills
- Have a strong desire to succeed and work independently with limited direction & guidance
- Be self-disciplined, organized and able to manage an aggressive workload and have the ability to prioritize and schedule inspections timely and efficiently
- Reliable, insured transportation and valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- VIITA Certification
- previous experience in construction/plumbing/electrical industries, life safety/firefighting, general contracting or property management
