Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive property inspections by documenting physical characteristics, exterior measurements, general conditions, photographs, and unusual hazards to generate reports summarizing observable risks. Submit these reports to client companies to assist underwriters in determining carrier eligibility. Organize independent work schedules to accommodate client needs while managing an aggressive workload with limited direction. Maintain a Microsoft Windows PC, broadband internet, digital camera, and necessary field tools including a measuring wheel and clipboard. Submit a resume and cover letter upon meeting qualifications, noting that candidates are subject to criminal background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Be an energetic individual capable of completing a high volume of insurance inspections
- Be motivated, analytical, resourceful, decisive, and have good problem-solving skills
- Have solid written, composition and verbal communication skills
- Have a strong desire to succeed and work independently with limited direction & guidance
- Be self-disciplined, organized and able to manage an aggressive workload and have the ability to prioritize and schedule inspections timely and efficiently
- Reliable, insured transportation and valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- VIITA Certification
- previous experience in construction/plumbing/electrical industries, life safety/firefighting, general contracting or property management
