Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive property inspections to document physical characteristics, exterior measurements, hazards, and conditions for insurance risk assessments. Compile photographs and recommendations into reports that determine carrier eligibility for client companies. Operate as an independent contractor setting your own hours to accommodate client needs while managing an aggressive workload with limited direction. Utilize a Windows PC, digital camera, measuring wheel, and clipboard to gather data. Submit a resume and cover letter upon meeting qualifications, noting that candidates are subject to criminal background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Be an energetic individual capable of completing a high volume of insurance inspections
- Be motivated, analytical, resourceful, decisive, and have good problem-solving skills
- Have solid written, composition and verbal communication skills
- Have a strong desire to succeed and work independently with limited direction & guidance
- Be self-disciplined, organized and able to manage an aggressive workload and have the ability to prioritize and schedule inspections timely and efficiently
- Reliable, insured transportation and valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- VIITA Certification
- previous experience in construction/plumbing/electrical industries, life safety/firefighting, general contracting or property management
