Loss Control Consultant (Workers Comp)

Job Summary
Conduct on-site loss control surveys, risk assessments, and follow-up visits to evaluate workplace hazards, employee exposures, and safety management practices within a designated territory. Develop written reports documenting findings and provide actionable recommendations to reduce occupational injuries. Review loss history and claim data to identify trends, then consult with employers to develop and improve injury prevention programs and safety policies. Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and educational presentations to policyholders. Partner with Underwriting and Claims to support account selection, pricing, renewals, and corrective actions for complex losses. Maintain accurate inspection documentation and stay current on OSHA regulations and industry trends. Travel throughout the assigned territory using automobile and occasional air travel is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of Workers Compensation loss control or related insurance experience
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- OSHA 30 mandatory certification
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Risk Management, Engineering, Safety Sciences, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments
- Ability to be flexible, embrace change, and quickly pivot in response to shifting priorities
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, ARM, or other occupational safety credentials
